Octopyd Tips:

  • To become a member of our elite Expert network, you will need two referrals from our existing Experts. If you like to receive our occasional promotional invite, please enter your email and fields of expertise in our e-Line form.
  • Octopyd is NOT a social media network. We do not disclose your information to the hiring managers. Your communications with the company representatives are anonymous.
  • Octopyd does not tolerate Conflict of Interest. If you feel there might be a little tiny bit of conflict of interest, avoid making introductions or evaluations.
  • Job Descriptions come and go. Be quick in making good referral.
  • It is OK if you don't know anyone. The list of jobs is updated regularly. Make sure your expertise keywords are UpToDate, or wait for new jobs.
  • When your referral gets hired (and stays hired for ~3 month), you will get a generous referral bonus.
  • Not all referrals get hired. This should not make you feel bad. It always feels good to help others explore their career opportunities and excel.
  • Octopyd encourages you to coach your referrals throughout the process of interviewing and hiring.
  • Honesty and Transparency is KEY in Octopyd's business model.
  • Be honest in your evaluations. This will help the hiring manager to schedule proper training for your referral after hiring. Besides, you get more credibility (= higher rating = higher percentage) when you make your next referral.
  • Dishonest evaluations will likely NOT result in hiring. Even if they do, it is unlikely for the hire to survive the ~3-month evaluation period.
